PostSubject: Tethering question   Tethering question Icon_minitimeTue Aug 12, 2008 12:18 pm

I missed out on purchasing NetShare and I was hoping to tether without jailbreaking my iPhone 3G but it doesn't seem possible. I don't see any real need to jailbreak it otherwise. If I were to jailbreak my iPhone and then decide to go back to how it was for whatever reason, would I just click Restore in iTunes and it would be back to normal, not bricked and no problems with Rogers? I did jailbrake my iPod touch and then restored without any problems but I'm a little more concerned with my iPhone 3G.

Thanks

Yes you can just restore it as you did the touch.

If you jailbreak your phone you can always go back. There is no way possible to use the "Poor Mans's " Tethering guide with a locked 3G iPhone.
YOU CANT BRICK AN IPHONE!(The ones that dont know how to take it out of this stuck format is a simple process)
No such thing and hate that word.
It will become inoperable yes.But they are built to go into emergency recovery mode.I have my 3G jailbroken and no problems.1st Gen is jailbroken no problems
